Calculon
Im thinking of buying Imac. Is Sc games compatible with Apple - Imac computers? Do one need a other program in order to get the game running?
Hubert Cater
Hi Calculon, They are not officially supported but I have heard of some success by using the various Windows emulators for the Mac. Hope this helps, Hubert
Schrullenhaft
To get any of the SC series working on a Mac you're going to need some additional software (the game does NOT run in OS X). One solution that should definitely work is to setup a BootCamp partition. With this you would need to purchase a copy of Windows XP, Vista or 7 and install it into the BootCamp partition. This basically means that you'll boot your Mac into Windows in order to run the game. The other possible solution is to purchase and install Parallels. This solution however is questionable. I do not know if the game will actually work in Parallels (or any other 'virtual' environment). There is a good chance that it will, but unless someone chimes in saying that they've done so, it's not guaranteed to work.
Fundin
The games are fine in Parallels BUT I recommend Bootcamp for the following reason. You still need a copy of windows to run parallels so why spend the money on that when bootcamp is free. Also i find bootcamp much faster, the only pain is having to reboot to use it.
