__Yossarian0815[jby]
It seems to me that in CMA unlike in CMSF, troops are extremely reluctant to fire on a postively identified enemy unless they are inside a target arc. Is this by design, that is reflecting soviet doctrine, or is it just a reflection of slower communications?
Jonny(FGM)
I believe one of the 1.30 patch features for CMSF is that units are less likely to fire outside of their target arc, perhaps this is a feature that was just put in the standard CMA
__Yossarian0815[jby]
I don´t mean that. I mean that if you don´t give the unit a target arc, it won´t fire on spotted enemy units.
Jonny(FGM)
Oh right. Not sure I've noticed that behaviour. What range are they at? I know in CMx1 target arcs would make troops more likely to shoot at further away targets etc, no idea if this behaviour made it into CMx2 or not though
Lethaface
Perhaps it depends on the range and the type of weapon? My troops in CMA didn't seem reluctant to let loose.
