CMA_Dirtweasle
How long does it take for the elicense folks to respond to a problem? I am getting error -7 and it's not on their canned FAQ or "knowledge list" or whatever you call it. Any ideas on what it is or how to resosolve it here?
CMA_Dirtweasle
Tried changing proxy settings. No Luck. Tried with firewall and all anti-virus / adware / spyware protection off. No Luck Any suggestions?
wargames mark
I'd use a different system for activating my customer's software if I were Battlefront.com, but that's just me. I find it impossible to even reach the damn license.net webpage. What a pain. Way to treat your customers.
wargames mark
Looks like the site itself is down.
Elmar Bijlsma
Can't access their ordinary website either.
Schrullenhaft
It looks like the eLicense server or a connection to it is down. I've notified Martin and we'll have to see what he finds out. Sorry for the inconvenience. This is a really rare occurrance for eLicense, so I don't think we necessarily need a new DRM because of the server being down today. I don't know how long it will take for ViaTech to get the server up (or if it is a network issue possibly beyond their control). Hopefully it may be up today, but I unfortunately do not really know when it will be up.
CMA_Dirtweasle
Ok. Well at least it's an explanation. Do you all have a live contact to reach out to when there are problems? Have you made contact wit them? Or are we just waiting for them to figure out on their own the have a problem? In other news, the Demo was fun or I wouldn't have bought this, too bad I can't use it.
dima
Hmm, this is unusual indeed. In all my memory of BTS using e-License this is probably the first time their systems suffered an outage. Hopefully they'll bring them up soon!
Moon
eLicense provides services for a lot of customers, not just us. Among those customers are, for example, also EA. So rest assured that they are working on the issue already long before any of us has to notify them (which of course happened as well).
Moon
This problem has been solved a few minutes after my last post, and the system is fully functional again for some time. Sorry for the downtime guys.
