Quick Start

I selected Quick Start on the latest demo. At the end of turn one, ALL builds to Units (2 inf), City improvements (oil, barrack, and shipyard), and tech research (factory and basic ballistics) were 100% complete. Very Strange. I closed the game and restarted a normal New Game and it was fine.

Is there something about this quick start I'm missing??

The game has the option to start with free production and research. The quick-start gives players some random amounts of free production and research (all players get the same amount, it's not random amounts to each player). So, yes, you should see some construction and research get done at the end of turn one.
