awesome squid Posted July 13, 2010 Share Posted July 13, 2010 I just get this message constantly whenever i try to play theatre of war africa 1943 i was looking at some old threads and thy say catalyst 8.9 works but whenever i try to download it it just says i don't have the software or hard ware my PC is an XP Media centre and i am not so sure what my graphics card is where is it on that dxdiag thing it some guy tod me you click display 1 but my pc has only 1 option. Schrullenhaft Posted July 13, 2010 Share Posted July 13, 2010 Go to Start Menu > 'Run...' > type in (without quotes) "dxdiag" and press {Enter}. This should load up the DirectX Diagnostic. Once the bar in the lower left hand corner has finished loading up click on the 'Display' tab. In the upper left of this tab it should mention 'Device' and the 'Name' will be the video card model that you have. The ATI/AMD Catalyst drivers can only be used if you have an ATI/AMD Radeon video card. If you have a laptop with an ATI/AMD video chip, then you may or may not (as this case seems) be able to use the 'reference driver' supplied by ATI/AMD.
