Jonny(FGM)
How long does it take to add files to the repository? I added a file the other day and it's still not appeared. I filled in all my details and when i clicked the add button at the bottom of the form it took me to a page that said "all done" or something along those lines. Did i do something wrong or does it take a few days for files to be approved?
Moon
It depends. In the past the approval was fully automated, but it includes a human component now. Usually, files are approved within a day. Having said that, there was one file which was NOT approved. Maybe that's yours? It was a CMSF battle, but the description field was empty. If that was yours, then please re-upload and make sure to fill in the necessary details.
Jonny(FGM)
I was sure I replied to this. Did my post get deleted or just lost? Anyways I am sure i added a description, however it is possible there was some other field that wasn't filled in, although i would have expected to have received and error rather than an "all done" message. I posted "UK-Untitled000" in the scenarios and campaigns section of the british forces part of the repository. I have no problem in posting it up again i just don't want to be bombarding you guys : )
Moon
We do not delete any posts (except spam). Yes, it was this file that was deleted. Post it gain, but make sure you enter all the required fields. A description is necessary (there was none). Renaming the file may be a good idea, too (UK-Untitled is not a good choice and may get the submission rejected, too)
Jonny(FGM)
Thanks for that. I was sure i did enter a description but it must have got lost in the ether. I've resubmitted it (definitely with a description) with a new title so hopefully everything should be fine now : )
Moon
Nope, no description again in your submission.
Jonny(FGM)
What am i doing wrong? I type the text into the text box provided, do i have to save it or something before i submit it? I'm using google chrome, is there any known issue with this vs IE/FF? I didn't fill in the quick description box because it was greyed out as i had the auto generate button selected
Jonny(FGM)
Ok hopefully 3rd time lucky, tried submitting in IE this time just in case. If not i'm attatching a screenshot of how i filled the form in, am i doing anything wrong?
Moon
It may well have to do with Chrome acting strangely. Chrome is in beta as far as I know, and I have noticed various unpredictable behavior occasionally. Our site is not optimized for Chrome. Having said that, your submission worked just fine now, and it's been approved. Not sure what went wrong earlier.
