Can you play as just 1 of the countries in the game or you have take control of either axis or allied and whoever is dowed joins your alliance? There is a few minors that would be fun playing. I think you'll find that after a few turns it is more than manageable and you'll be happy you have full control of each side for all the critical decisions.
