When I install CMBO into another directory other than the default on C:\, the game (when run) indicates that there is no CD in the drive. When I install into the default directory, this problem does not appear. Can someone pls tell me how to go about installing to another directory? Thanks! BeWary Posted January 2, 2002 Share Posted January 2, 2002 I'm not sure what the problem is, but make sure if you installed the patch that you installed it into the same "different" directory that you installed the game into. Also, right-click on the icon you use to launch CM, select properties, and make sure the "target" points to the "different" directory name you chose when you installed CM. But right after I install the 1.12 patch (Yes, I DID ensure it was installed in the correct directory), the game said that there was no CD inserted. Huh??? Can somebody pls help me? BeWary Posted January 3, 2002 Share Posted January 3, 2002 Did you check the icon you use to launch the game to make sure it still points to the correct directory? If it does, then I'd suggest upgrading the firmware of your CD/DVD drive. This should be available from the drive manufacturer, or if you don't know that info, your computer manufacturer.
