donnieitaly
Knowing nothing about computers (and caring less) could someone answer this for me. If a game "moves" slowly could one of the reasons be that there is a lot for the computer to "think" about when using AI?
YankeeDog
Technically possible, but based on what little I do know of how CMSF is actually built and runs, I think this is very unlikely. Other aspects of the engine, like LOS/LOF calculations, graphics rendering, and calculating all those bullet trajectories are probably going to cause a code "bottleneck" and slow down the program long before running the AI code does.
donnieitaly
Thanks. That's basically what I meant. the more there is to do and the more clutter on the map the slower it seems to run. The Police Station scenario in the British Module is the example I was thinking of. Thanks again.
BlackMoria
Also make sure that there isn't another tasks running on your machine like having other programs minimized, downloading or having your virus checker running a background virus scan.

Yes thank you but that would apply to any scenario as my computer is usually in the same mode of operation whenever I play. Point taken though - thanks.
