Dan Dare
Some question and thoughts: 1.- should the casualties only be stabilized and not withdrawn? (i do not like to enter in further discussion that could imply moral little things, but as cmsf is designed nowadays, i continuously get amazed of how on heart had somebody removed my incapacitated soldiers from an almost surrounded position, and even more amazed i will get if that happens on a wwii scenario,...quite uncommon,...but sure 1st aid assistance was applied...) 2.- as another feature that cmsf introduced and i think shall remain with small adjustment to the scenario: Will FFI, SOE, OSS, SAS, COMMANDOS (not acting as mere infantry), even "collaborateurs" operatives be present? (Skorzeny groups at the Bulge or Partisans when back to east?) ( i know that cmsf do not introduce special forces as all we know or thougth them migth be, but it has introduce spies and IDE, and although i see SAS and COMMANDOS as pure "elite", FFI operatives were nothing but a mere CMSF_spy_team with the capabilities of infantry, enginieers if you like) (For these "special/uncommon" forces i am thinking in that third module were the rare equipment will appear) (maybe too many "war-hazañas belicas" films and comics during my youth) 3.- Variety 1....Will the uniformity of soldiers uniform and gears dissapear? (some of battlefront posts implies that yes and i assumed it so, cmsf is able to handle it on the reds and it is not a thing to kept while the vehicles have some minor variations that make then unique) 4.- Variety 2....Will colour be historically portrayed? (hard to write that question from my point of view, without sounding irrespetuous, unsensible or lacking political correctness. And of course, i am not referring to the fact that germans shall be grey, british green and yanks blue for the reds being red when they finally arrive) 5.- Variety 3....Will the other gender appear if by any chance you give us what point 2 suggests? 6.- Variety 4....Will be a little more variety on how our brave guys lay dead? questions and thougths without end but enought for today.... by the way, when will the dedicated cm ww2 forum be open? N.B.- poor english, sorry, but it is not my mother tongue, which reminds me of one joke: Papi, why is the language we speak called mother tongue? My dear son, cause we fathers have quite rarely the opportunity to use it.
Mord
I can't speak with any authority but I can answer one of the questions based on what we know about CMSF. If BFC doesn't change the way we mod, we should be able to have just as much variety in the uniforms and helmets as we enjoy now. For example; you could have a squad with a mixture of grau jackets and camo pants and camo helmets, and/or grau helmets and camo shirts with grau pants...so on and so forth. Birdstrike created a Syrian mod with over a hundred different uniform combinations. Mord. P.S. I'd liked to see a few more positions for the casualties myself...
Elmar Bijlsma
1) I rather wouldn't see casualty treated be very much expanded upon. I've got enough to worry about. It's at a good level for the tactical sim. 2) BFC have never beenon special force. And I kinda agree. Bang for your buck development wise, there can be better units to spend time on. 3) I see no reason why uniform diversity (I know!) would not continue to exist. 4) I'm not sure I follow. You mean racial couring. I'd expect most participants to be of European decent. In the grand scheme of things non european frontline soldiers were very rare. 5) Females, to what purpose? Just not a big feature of a WW2 battlefield. I'd be pissed to hear I'd be missing out on my Crusader AA tank because someone had to model boobs instead. 6) On this I agree. I'd be very nice to have casualties be more varied in posture. Not important perhaps, but nice.
