I just purchased the trilogy series from Amazon by David Glantz and his writing on the Battle of Stalingrad. If you want some good books visit this website,

very expensive and you will not find them in the local library. I have a bunch with l;ots of good stuff. Just put down a small book on Graf Strachwitz and the 1944 Battles at Narva and the book contains great Photos. I will scan a few of them this week and they show the camo techniques on the Eastern Front, I also have to finish 10 other books from them but I'll get to them some day.

SeaMonkey if the Germans had actually been able to K.O.Russia and England because of America not getting directly involved(I know it would have been REAL tough)then would Germany really need all that oil right away? There would be no need for a huge armed force. All efforts would go into tech.to make the world a better place(ha ha).

Rambo I can no doubt see why you wouldnt want American blood spilt for European stupidity,I just think its better to confront your enemy from a great position of strength than let your Allies(I use the term loosly for Russia)get picked off one by one.

Actually the third part you purchased is not really the third part in the series. The title of your book is "after stalingrad", right? That is an older book from Glantz that replaces his "from don to the dniepr" after Glantz had access to better research materials. His third book in the trilogy will be out in mid 2010 what I've read.

Part 2 is the one I'm really looking forward to, a more detailed picture of the battle, can you tell me what you think of the book?
