Does CM suppor that card or is my iMac running CM on the original ATI card that game with the computer? If not, is there a way I can get it to work? Thanks for the help. Freak Posted June 28, 2001 Share Posted June 28, 2001 Ok, I believe you are in luck with the voodoo 2 card and the iMac. What you will need to do if you have not already is download the 3dfx rave drivers for your voodoo2. I am not sure where they are you could try www.versiontracker.com. The only downside of the voodoo2 is that IIRC is that smoke is blocky and not smooth. Not a bad tradeoff considering the voodoo II is much better then the old stock ati rage card. curleyq Posted June 28, 2001 Author Share Posted June 28, 2001 Thanks for the response. I have downloaded the drivers and installed them. But CM appears not to read it. I disable the ATI drivers and load up the the Voodoo ones. But when I do that the game is in software rendering mode and very choppy. Any other ideas? Schrullenhaft Posted June 28, 2001 Share Posted June 28, 2001 Have you deleted the CM Prefs file ? Once this is done CM goes through the resolution selection process again. With the Voodoo 2's you'll be limited to 800x600 (832x624 ?). I believe that you'll get notification as to which card CM is recognizing at the moment (primary display adapter or secondary/3D accelerator). I have have to double check to make sure it is running the Voodoo and not the ATI card, but I think it is. Thanks for the help.
