XP...Hercules 3D Prophet Issue

Recommended Posts

Is this a Hercules 3D Prophet based on a NVidia chip or a PowerVR Kyro II chip ? I assume that you may be talking about a NVidia based card.

If so, then you need to enable (force on) FSAA (2X, 4X or Quincux if it is a GeForce3 - any of the forced settings will work). This should clear up the flickering.

If the white in your 2D screens has gone transparent you need to either ESC or ALT-TAB out of CM and then remaximize it. This should clear up the white transparencies (until you come back to a 2D screen from the 3D battlefield, then it will occur again).

Go to Start Menu > Settings > Control Panel > Display control panel (Classic view) > Settings tab > Advanced... button > the GeForce 'whatever' tab (it may be called Hercules or it may be the model of your video card) > the Additional Properties button > the 3D Antialiasing Settings tab > select the radio button selection of 'Manually select the antialiasing mode' and then select one of the available AA modes (other than OFF).

Thanks....worked....flicking has gone away and graphics look GREAT!

EXCEPT--->When I've finished a PBEM game and it returns to the screen with game name the box is completely black. When I click it...it returns goes to the box with the file name....only the box is also black...and of course I can't rename what I can't see...So I just click ok and the next box is also black.

All this is very strange when everything else seems to work fine. Any ideas???? beruldsen@home.com
