paullootens
me (toxiczen) and mike (nego7) from the cm club "we band of brothers" tried in vain to play a tcp game with shock force. i tried ip address game gave me, than found a different one online when i checked to find my actual ip address so we than tried that. but both times resulted in it just hanging on "connecting. we than tried the reverse with him setting up and got the same results... i was prompted when i first started to block or unblock the game from connecting to the net and i unblocked it. i use windows xp, and have the basic module with marines module version 1.11 has anyone else run into this? any advice on how to get a game going?
kenjara
most likely your connecting to the internet through a router and some ports need opening. Not sure what ports this game uses but they are probably in the documentation somewhere.
__Yossarian0815[jby]
a) You need the actual IP of your router (under WAN settings). You have to open a port in the router´s NAT settings. (which port: see CMSF manual) c) If you have several PCs hooked up to your router, make sure that your gaming PC is the server in your NAT settings.
