Subvet Posted March 25, 2001 Share Posted March 25, 2001 Yesterday I was running into a strange problem. Once I hosted a game and finished it I couldn't host another one. After setting it up, the other person couldn't connect. If I did a re-boot then everything would work fine until I wanted to start another game. Then the same thing happened and I had to re-boot. I'm running ZoneAlarm. It is set to always allow Combat Mission to act as a server. Guest Madmatt Posted March 25, 2001 Share Posted March 25, 2001 I saw this very early in the days of the Beta for Network play and basically the TCP/IP stack was not releasing properly but it was since fixed. Subvet Posted March 25, 2001 Author Share Posted March 25, 2001 Win 98 SE, version 1.12. This problem seems to come and go. I remember it happening a long time ago but I haven't seen it lately. Yesterday it was really bad, but today it seems to be working normally again. The funny thing is that I haven't rebooted since playing my last game last night and I didn't have to reboot to start one this morning. I hate trying figure out a pc problem when it is intermitent like this!
