Schrullenhaft
What error do you get when installing the 1.11 patch ? Where do you download your patches from and what size are they ? What is your version of the game currently ? Does your game require the CD to be in the drive in order to run the game or does it involve some sort of online licensing (like Battlefront's eLicense) ? I can only guess that 1C/Snowball Studios are selling the CDV version of the game. To my knowledge there is only one version of the patch, which should cover all versions (Battlefront / CDV / Gamersgate). I assume that 1C/Snowball Studios should fall into that compatibility range. There might be a slight possibility that the 1C version wasn't accounted for in the patch (a suspicion that I doubt) and if that were the case you would probably get an error about licensing/copy protection when starting the game after installing the patch. Since I'm not familiar with this particular version you'll probably want to submit a Support Ticket Request with the official Help Desk. 1C may also have some information regarding this issue, but I don't know how fast they are at responding to help requests.
AlExal
My current game version is 1.10. I've tried 3 patches from there and I also tried the patch from battlefront. The patch from battlefront installed fine but then it requested some key I don't have. I think it is because of the different copy protection systems. The patch for Paradox didn't asked for a key but it changed nothing. I don't want to submit a ticket because it isn't some kind of game error, everything works just fine) I only want to install this patch. I contacted 1C techsupport but they haven't answered yet, and that is why I'm asking)
Schrullenhaft
What does your version require for copy protection ? Do you have to have the CD/DVD in the drive to play the game or were you required to do some sort of online registration ? I'm not absolutely knowledgeable about the copy protection on each of the versions. I believe that the Paradox/CDV version may use disk-based copy protection (requiring the CD/DVD to be in the drive). The Gamersgate version has some sort of online activation and it only comes as a download. The Battlefront version can be either a download or CD based and it uses eLicense for online activation (probably what you saw when installing the 1.11 Battlefront version patch). My guess is that the Paradox/CDV patch would be the most likely one to work for you. However it didn't and the two possibilities that I can think of are either 1) The Paradox patch didn't install the files to the correct directory and therefore the files need to be manually copied to the appropriate directories; or 2) The 1C/Snowball Studios version is different in its copy protection requirements and none of the currently available 1.11 patches accommodates it. I suspect that #1 is very likely and you may need to look around your hard drive for where the Paradox patch may have copied the files. The whole executable typically gets replaced and may include some additional .BRZ files for graphics updates. Either 1C or the 'official Help Desk' request link above should be able to help you confirm what is needed. I'm not sure how fast either one will be in answering your questions regarding this particular issue.
AlExal
I have to have the CD in the drive to play the game. I downloaded and installed Paradox patch in the other directory. Then I copied necessary files and changed exe files. When I tried to launch the game it asked for a disk. I guess it is because of different copy protection systems. And in the main menu it is indicated that game is still 1.10 version. I send requests both to the 1C and battlefront. None of them has responded yet.
Moon
AlExal, we respond to emails within 24 hours usually, so if you didn't get a response then either your email never made it to us, or our response failed getting back to you. You can most likely look it up at www.battlefront.com/helpdesk if you sent the email to one of our tech support email addresses. However, we won't be able to help you. If you have bought the game from 1C directly then you will need the Russian/Eastern European patch which we do not distribute, sorry. Moon
Oh wait, I see now that you have posted a ticket only TWO HOURS AGO. Not surprising that there was no reply yet Having said that, I have re-assigned your ticket to 1C and Andrey will respond with patch download instructions within 24 hours or so.
