cabal23
What mods do you find absolutely a must have to make CMSF a more immersive game? Right now all I use is the water mod, but I want to download more without downloading everything. What say you?

cabal23
What is the best way of managing mods? Just dump them all in my Z folder?
The_Red_Rage
What is the best way of managing mods? Just dump them all in my Z folder? Yep. CMSF is not as mod rich as previous installements, so the few mods that are out there, are not very hard to keep organized. Most come with their own folders provided by deisgners to identify them.
cabal23
Do I need to take them out of the folders and dump it all into the Z folder or can I just drop the folder I unzip into the Z folder?

cabal23
Wow, what a huge difference. Mord's radio chatter is an absolute must. "I am 99.9 percent certain I saw a weapon." I loved that. All the Scipio stuff is great. Better fire and explosions. The Syrian soldiers are also great. I feel like I have a new game. I now have a European folder and Middle Eastern folder full of mods. Thanks!
Jak170
i have the US Ragtag mod but i combined it with other mods out there in one BIG folder so i get way more randomness The radio chatter is awesome like you said and Scipio's tracer file is also really nice and makes the game look loads better. Dull Icons will take away from the flashyness of the neon floating things during battle which is good. Oddball's sound mod makes the M4 and other guns sound not so wimpy. I combined some sounds from Oddball with some sounds from the Source mod by some1 who i forgot. te M107 mod is good if you like the black version of the sniper more than the ported version.
theFightingSeabee
Not to toot my own horn, but, my blue perspective mod is cool if you play as blue, but ONLY as blue. If not, I would definitely use the .50cal sound that's in there (I was a .50 gunner and it sounds a million times better to me), and I prefer the grenade sound over the stock grenade sound as well. I really do think these two sounds are a must.
19Kyle72
I keep reading about all of the privately adjusted mods that people make from others' mods, and it just drives me bonkers that two steps aren't taken after all of that work is done: (1) Get permission to utilize aspects from all of the original authors involved, and... (2) RELEASE IT to the community so that we can give them a try too. The only thing that would top the whole sundae off like a sweet red cherry is if some good screenshots are provided for the mods that make visual adjustments. Any takers out there?
