bardosy
As a campaign maker and as I read from other campaign makers, I try to collect a few small features to help improve the next version of CMx2's mood and feeling: 1., Picture in campaign briefing It could be a bugfix: when we pack a campaign in, we can insert pictures for campaign briefing too, but it will never appear in the game. 2., Picture in the campaign's end screen This feature could be add a great mood. The player fight for days/weeks with this campaign. He won, and he just got a short message? It could be great if he could get a picture from tired, but victorious band of soldiers or some medals or the map of the way where he fought... etc. It's not a very hard coding, but it could help us create more unforgettable campaigns. 3., Events It's not so easy code to the engine as above, but it could add more mood to the missions (not just to the campaigns), if we (mission designers) add Events same way as reinforcements and objectives. It don't add more troops or support, just a message or a short text with picture about an event. Eg. UN confirm to continue our advance or the rescued officers will be promoted soon or your soldiers' moral will be rise/fall... etc. Anything that not just tactics, but an information/intel in the mission triggered time or an objective. It's a nice idea to add a PDF to every campaign, where we can tell the story and try to add mood. But it could be better if the game carry this additional boost of gameplay.

handihoc
Yes, little 'cosmetic' effects such as those above can add immensely to the immersion factor.
