CogNative
Recently installed XP Pro SP3. Parallels went south then died. Unlicensed CMSF w/o a problem. Wiped the XP Pro Boot Camp partition. Did a fresh XP Pro SP2 & "Booty Camp" 2.1 install. Re-licensed CMSF w/o a problem. Upgraded to XP Pro SP3. I played some smallish scenarios last PM for @ 2 hours with CMSF Settings below w/o any 3D image freeze, audio BUZZ issues! When the audio / graphic corruption occurred they were less loud and appeared to resolve faster! Is SP3 an important improvement / add on for the Mac folks in Boot Camp? cabal23
I can't imagine why you "need" it. Almost everyone is using SP2 and what I have learned from MS is upgrade after someone else has done it. There are always issues to address after a patch with many software titles.
CogNative
Thanks cabal23. Having little MS experience (all Macs) I wondered myself. I did notice overall, SP3 on the MBP feels faster and @ 2 hours with CMSF and AA 'ON' is much better than with SP2. CogNative
