Menu mirroring...I guess!

Recommended Posts

I just upgraded to a PIII and purchased a GeForce2 MX. When I am getting ready to open a file for a PBEM game, I can't see all the files, so I enlarge my window by dragging with the mouse cursor. Moving the menu around the screen creates tons of extra menus. What's up with that? I don't remember it happening before. This does not happen when outside of CM, ie desktop. Any clues anyone?

Well, I got rid of the GeForce card. I live in Thailand and don't have air-con and the card was just burning up. So, I'm back to borrowed TNT2 M64 Vanta. When I tried to put that card in and install the driver, it said it was a Vanta/VantaL card. Well, I looked for a TNT2 M64 Vanta driver, (because that is what is written on the back of the card and that is what the tech who loaned it to me said it was) but all they had was a TNT2 M64 for a 32mb card (this one is a 16mb). I have not yet EVER found a driver that matches the exact name of any card or monitor. Anyway, my AGP-V3800 Combat (TNT2 Vanta) is in the shop being fixed and it worked perfectly in ALL respects). With both this borrowed card and GeForce, I had to toggle off ambient sound. Not so with the V3800 card. So, I'm just waiting til it comes out of the shop. Thanks anyway. Oh, BTW I am doing Win98SE, 128m ram, PIII. The drivers I'm using are the Nvidia ver. 6.31 as the manual suggests and it seems to do ok, cept for the ambient. I have lots of horror stories about the GeForce, DirectX8, smoking graphics cards, melting screens, lock-ups etc, but it's probably off topic. Thanks.
