CMFDR
Here is the list of CMAK's scenarios found on the site below and in the Philippe's compilation: http://the-proving-grounds.com/ http://www.bootsandtracks.com/ http://www.kretsen.nu/bytebattler/ http://www.TheBlitz.org/ http://www.the-scenario-depot.com/ http://www.cmmods.com/ (273 Kb) http://amb3940.be/cm/CMAK_Scenarios_Directory.pdf If one need, I also have it in xls format and the CMBB directory is in gestation. take care and have fun
Panama Red
Thank you. If you make it in .xls format too, then people can sort it a different way if they want to.
CMFDR
Hello Panama Red, (what a smoky name) here it is: (59 Kb) http://amb3940.be/cm/CMAK_scens_directory.zip You'll notice that there are many duplicate but, well, it's better to have a bit too much than not enough. best regards, Jan

Der Alte Fritz
Hi I have just noticed this thread since posting over at the CMBB and CMAK forums. I have updated BIRDGUNNERS scenario listing from 2005 with new scenarios from TSD, Blowtorch scenarios, etc. My numbers compare a lot closer to Phillippes listing with 1400 CMBB and 900 CMAK scenarios having removed most of the duplicates. You might like to have a look and work from this to improve it rather than starting from scratch. Available from CMMods.com as DAF Scenario Listing cheers
CMFDR
Excellent work Der Alte Fritz, I'll take a look for sure Th only duplicate that I would remove are theses in the Philippe's compilation since they are, from my point of view, the only duplicate since the other are simply available too from another source. best regards
CMFDR
I just took a look at work DAF and waw! We definitely aren't playing on the same field! Mine is simply a listing of files with sources, your is detailing every scen and even give a short description... for each scen, it's very impressive! I was working on the CMBB directory listing scens from websites, compilations by Philippe and the Scenario Depot Salavage but now I'm shy to share something so frugal.
Der Alte Fritz
Hi The duplicates mainly occur because when scenarios are uploaded to new sites, the name is often changed in a slight way. For Instance: HSG Circle of death H2H ver could be re-saved as : HSG-Circle of death H2H ver HSG - Circle of death H2H ver HSG/Circle of death H2H ver HSG_circle_of_death_h2h HSG_circle_of_death_h2h_ver HSG Circle of Death Circle of Death H2H version HSG Circle of Death Two Player Circle of Death HSG HSGCircleofdeath just to give some examples. So it is best when listing a scenario to search by keyword or author to see if you can find it first. Series names are often dropped as are version numbers or player types. People add hyphens and word spacing and then take them away again. All of which changes the sort in excel. Why don't you take the list and check your website listings against it using keyword search as suggested above. Also the other project I need help with is to check Phillippes listing against my list. Probably adding a column and putting the pack number in as a good check and useful to people trying to find scenarios. all the best cheers
CMFDR
(...) Why don't you take the list and check your website listings against it using keyword search as suggested above. (...) Again my directory isn't a list of all scen available but more a list of scens available on the sources quoted, being duplicate or not. It's goal is simply to allow one to know where to get from a scenario he/she's looking for. Such a list as you done, listing the scen with many details is demanding far too much manual inputs to fit my usual way of working, using as much automated tools as possible (hey, i'm lazy ). Also the other project I need help with is to check Phillippes listing against my list. Probably adding a column and putting the pack number in as a good check and useful to people trying to find scenarios. here is what i made some day ago about the CMAK's compilation by Philippe: http://amb3940.be/cm/SORTED_SCENARIOS_PHILIPPE.html On that compilation, i ran Duplicate Cleaner, it scanned the 1045 files and found 74 duplicate (77 files), that still make 968 scens which is still pretty impressive. best regards
Der Alte Fritz
Hi I did the work listing the location of the various scenarios in Phillippes folders. What that shows is that there are 188 scenarios which he does not have collected. A good number of them can be got from the Scenario Depot (authors shown in capitals) or Byte Battler (marked as such) but there remains 29 scenarios of which I do not know the location. Anyway here is the list in case it is of interest: A Polish Battlefield 1st Polish Armoured Division Bir Hakeim - The Last Stand Cassino Railway Station - Maori Attack Cassino, Third Battle Combat Chess Tournament FGM DATR - Cheux British 11th Armoured pack GP 6. Lemberg GebirgJager Pack HSG A Battle at Vire Historical Study Group HSG Assault on Assenois Historical Study Group HSG Never Known Historical Study Group HSG Singling vs AI Historical Study Group King of the Caste Line of Defence LRDG Smash and Grab Monte Cassino Peaks PLHQ - Into the Maelstrom Prelude to Epsom Press on, Regardless Probe Westward in Italy Skirmish Line, Tunisia 2 Skorzeny Mission #1 Small Battles La Colina del Saltamontes Small Ops De Voorposten Sollies la Farlede St Vith CSDT - St Vith Pack CSDT Task Force Navajo The Redout The Road to Gesso
JasonPratt
I absolutely love DAF's listing (with help from Jan, of course--thanks to both of you!!) Um... but I can't for the life of me find any CMBB or CMAK (or CMBO for that matter) scenarios at CMmods.com. I mean that there are no links (I'm registered there, so I can see links to e.g. Shock Force scenarios. Mods for all three CMx1 games, yes, out the wazoo--including DAF's list, btw. {g} But no scenarios that I can find...) Did everything get moved to scenario depot?? Am I supposed to go somewhere else for Philippe's list? Is there a button I should be pressing that I'm not? Halps??
KG_Jag
By way of example, the most recent entry under CMBO is a collection of scenarios, If you're registered, you can probably directly link to it here: http://www.cmmods.com/web/CMBOMods.nsf/d108908febc2d41c85256c5f005fd337/92fedcdd98239f1c852574d40054c1b2!OpenDocument
KG_Jag
For CMBB scenario packs look under "designer" philippe_in_exile. He compiled scenarios made by others, and posted 18 CMBB scenario packs on 11/19/07.
KG_Jag
On 10/14/07 philippe_in_exile uploaded 11 scenarios packs for CMAK. These are sorted geographically and is his compilation of the work of others.
Der Alte Fritz
Yes that is the way to find the scenario packs is to look under the designer. Also you can look under padivine for the original Scenario Depot Salvage packs. There is probably a huge overlap but may give you separate versions. cheers

JasonPratt
Oh, followup question, DAF: I realize that the black color coding must mean original CMBB and CMAK scenarios (i.e. the ones that shipped with the games). But there seems to be no explanation for what the other color codings mean. Help?? (The colored distinction between months of each year is not a problem, of course.)
JasonPratt
Oh, followup question, DAF: Never mind, found the legend at the bottom of the main CMBB and CMAK pages!
JasonPratt
DAF, btw, I just submitted to each of the repositories (CMBB and CMAK) a zipped htm version of your Excel file. It looks a little odd, since the descriptions (and some author notes) now show the original line-breaks, which means that many listings have what seems at first to be empty rows between them and their previous entry, but those rows are actually for the descriptions to fully read out with paragraph returns. There's still a little text overlap, too, between columns, but not much; and the little that's there shouldn't be problematic.
Donan
Has Battlefront offered the manuals on .pdf yet on this site? If so, where?
