KRIS
Hi all... Sorry for my simple english. . For years I was a fan of the combat mission games, i fought in clans (Apui feu), got good muliplayer-matches and had lot´s of fun with this game. I was, and i am on the opinion that the programing of the combat mission engine is one of the most challenging AI-programings that were develloped ever. Maybe i can juge a bit, cause i play computer-based strategic games since ATARI or even C64. . My problem is that i don´t like the conditions of Shock force any way. I don´t like to play any war game later than 1950 or on another base than early 20´s century history or later future like "Star wars". WHY, FOR HEAVENS SAKE, IS´NT THERE A GOOD WORLD WAR SECOND MOD OF COMBAT MISSION SHOCK FORCE?? I THINK A LOT OF GUYS ARE WAITING FOR A MODIFICATION LIKE THAT!     Greetings KRIS
molotov_billy
No, models and unit behaviors/stats cannot be modded - skins, maps, and sounds can be added/changed.
M1A1TC
Kris BFC is going to release US Marine module, then British module, then WW2. Just wait a few more years and you will get the game you want. At the moment the game's 3d models CAN NOT be changed

M1A1TC
What The Louch means that there is another game published by BFC called Theatre of War, that is about WW2. It uses a different engine then CMSF, and is not a mod of CMSF in any way
Roter Stern
Actually Kris is well aware of ToW, although he doesn't seem to be a big fan of it either

Roter Stern
I didn't even bother trying, actually ... the last 1C product I installed had me trying to root StarForce out of my computer for the next 3 weeks  [ February 12, 2008, 05:12 PM: Message edited by: The Louch ]
Lethaface
I actually like ToW pretty much. Nuttin' above having your british A34 comet manually loading up that APDS shell, rollin over a hill and putting it straight into the side of a poor panther, before rolling back (In MultiPlayer). Playing multiplayer can be quite cumbersome to getting started properly, but if it works, i think its a quite realistic and very good looking game. Maps are bit smallish though, but you cant have all ofc. There has been a "Uber patch" recently and they updated the demo. A $ free and Starforce free one . And Oh, the BF.C version which i hold doesnt have starforce protection either.
