jfitz58 Posted March 8, 2001 Share Posted March 8, 2001 When the screen resolution question screen comes up my mouse is frozen or jumpy...it doesn't let me choose...then it goes to the game menu and all is fine...then the scenario comes up and the mouse is erratic again....I ran game without other programs...I have tons of drive space...my mouse driver is updated...I have DirectX 8.0...Please help so I can play...What resolution size is best, although I tried them all...Help 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Schrullenhaft Posted March 8, 2001 Share Posted March 8, 2001 What video card do you have ? No particular resolution is "best". It's a bit dependant on how much memory your video card has. Some people just prefer a smaller resolution since the items appear larger on the screen for them, etc. It sounds like your card is having a hard time with 3D rendering. It's possible that CM is running in "software rendering mode" which can significantly slow down the system for drawing the screen (which would also cause "erratic" mouse movements due to all the processor horsepower being used to draw the screen). 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
