krystd Posted July 16, 2000 Share Posted July 16, 2000 I have a game wizard card in my Imac rev b. While it works great with myth and quake. I could never get it to work with the demo of CM or now the actual release. To play CM I drag the MacGLIDE and RAVE extension out of the extension folder and reboot. I play it with the normal graphics chip. Plays fine this way. Game is great. Would be interested in know how anyone has been able to get the game wizard card to work on a rev B Imac with CM. If that is the case, then I don't think you'll be able to get it working at this point. To my knowledge the Voodoo 1 & 2 cards have been disabled for CM on the Mac. I'm under the impression that there were too many problems with their RAVE implementation for CM to work correctly. This may be changed by a patch in the future. Some members on this forum had hinted that some developers from 3dfx were in contact with BTS about some of the changes they could make to their RAVE extensions. Guest Big Time Software Posted July 17, 2000 Share Posted July 17, 2000 We haven't purposely disabled Voodoo 1/2 on the Mac, but I can't verify that the game wizard is fully RAVE-compatible, and that may be the problem.
