CM freeze plz help

I loaded the CM Demo last night. My comp is well over the minimum specs (500mhz,voodoo3 16bit, directx7,15 gig, 64mb), yet whenever I play the game it always freezes and goes back to windows (sometimes for up to 20 minutes i play). I have the newest drivers and i deleated prefs. The instructions also state that the first time you play there will be a 3d test, something like click here if you see this, yet nothinng is there, and everytime i go to play it asks me for my resolution etc. What is the problem?

You can never see the text in the Direct 3D test that runs after you delete the prefs file?

First, try and reinstall DirectX. You can grab it here:

Next make sure you arent running any custom cursors or windows theme packs.

Lastly reduce your desktop resolution to 800x600 and launch then game.

Try those steps and report back what happens!

Go under control panel. Click on mouse and look at the pointer tab. Use the normal select (or something like that). I originally had a problem with the demo using a custom mouse cursor. Hope this helps.
