Sneaksie
Authors of JSH mod want to play war songs of various countries in the main menu in the next mod version. Where records of English war songs of that time can be found and what song do you suggest to be used (probably most popular)? They have plenty of German and Russian songs, but only Churchill speech for allies:)
R33GZ
'Its a long way to Tipperary' would be a classic one for the British Army. First created in WW1 I think, but carried its way through to WW2. Definitely the most common of the all the British marching tunes anyway. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/It's_a_Long_Way_to_Tipperary

R33GZ
Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" could be one for the US quite popular with the public and servicemen alike... probably wasnt used as a marching song though. Give it a listen, its definitely from the period. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boogie_Woogie_Bugle_Boy
CharlieMike24
For the British, this has got to be...... Hitler has only got one ball, Göring has two but very small, Himmler is somewhat sim'lar, But poor old Goebbels has no balls at all. This is sung to the Colonel Bogey March theme. R33GZ
Ha ha ha!!! LOL! That would be classic if the British Campaign started up with that number in the background! Its a bit Dads Army though isnt it? [ October 31, 2007, 01:44 PM: Message edited by: R33GZ ]
CharlieMike24
Well...that font of all Knowledge - Wikipedia - suggests that the song originated in 1939 and developed along several variations. Its certainly catchy Wiki reference [ October 31, 2007, 11:34 PM: Message edited by: CharlieMike24 ]

Reichenberg
Or another option could be the following songs: Bing Crosby Teddy Powell & his Orchestra(maybe a bit 'pacificy') These ones and quite some more you can find on this CD with American propaganda songs (Disclaimer: Be aware, some songs contain politically incorrect and rascist material ) Unfortunately the page is in German. But half way down you have a track list with samples of all songs on it. If you are interested in this one and you can not get it in Russia - let me know.
