hejhog
here are some early Panther pics, i'm just tinkering around with them for now. One thing i'd love some help with: you'll notice the tube on the side of the panther has squared ends... I don't know how to make them go back the way they were. This is especially pronounced on wheels. Any help here would be greatly appreciated. And, people, you need to get busy modding this game. The graphics are to good not to mod, so get busy. hejhog
here are some more pics, note the cupola on the stug... uh.
rofl
Looks nice but on the cupola from the stug there's a bug with the alphachannel.
Sneaksie
Good work! All anomalies are caused by imporper alpha channel (parts of texture which must be invisible should be black in alpha channel).
hejhog
Thank you guys for the compliments and especially the info... i could never figure that alpha channel thing out... but i think i am starting to get it now. So here are more pics to clutter up the forum: the roadwheels need a lot of work, but removing the skirts was really easy. Thank you guys again for the help! Earl Grey
Not bad! Since I'm still modding CM it'll be a while before I try one of these...
rofl
The panther without skirts looks very nice , maybe you could make the tracks a lil bit rusty and dirty.
hejhog
ok, here is one for you with rusty tracks. but these roadwheels are really kicking my ass. how can i open the file with the original mask/alpha channel intact?????? no matter what i do, i can't match them up right, and it's really pi$$in me off... (edit) Earl, i'm missin those BMP's right now... lol [ September 15, 2007, 07:32 PM: Message edited by: hejhog ]
Earl Grey
Aren't those textures in a .DDS file? Then you'll need the .DDS plugin for PhotoShop (if you are using it, that is) - then you can edit the alpha channel, too. If I'm not mistaken. hejhog
heh, i got paint shop pro. i really like it, except for this- maybe i can either find an add-on for paint shop or use a demo for photoshop, then copy it into paint shop? thanks man, i was just mad last night- try fail, try again, fail... rinse and repeat. benadryl and alcohol fueled tantrum... lol
Earl Grey
Don't know if this plugin is available for PSP, too - it is from NVIDIA. Just google a little bit, but a demo version of PhotoShop might work, too.
rofl
Looks great, could you upload them and share with us?
hejhog
I will as soon as I can get the roadwheels to look decent.
FinnN
I'm fairly sure the plugin will work in PSP (PSP supports Photoshop plugins). If not I'm sure a quick google for Paintshop Pro and DDS will throw up some instructions (just did a quick search and relevant results were coming up). Have fun Finn
hejhog
FinnN, i haven't been able to get them to work, can't figure it out... so i'll just wait until someone throws up a PSD file or something that contains a good alpha channel, and maybe rob it.
