joblue Posted April 20, 2007 Share Posted April 20, 2007 I will preface thsi by saying that my machine is up to date, and I have installed many many pieces of software in my time So, I download all 1.867,870 Gb of glory, install it on my machine...and....well, nothing. When I click on the desktop icon, nothing happens. When I try and run thr mission editor, I get a "wrong game version" error. When I try to run the config utility I get an error about a missing rts.dll file that cant be loaded. Any ideas. Thanks in advance. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

joblue Posted April 21, 2007 Author Share Posted April 21, 2007 I tried his suggestion, which entailed turning of the firewall, to no avail So the game still wont start, and my error message when i try and run the editor is bizarre. "This application will not work with a current version of this game Theatre of War" I had the demo installed, but installed it long before I installed my new purchase. i have never had install issues with BF or any games really, as i sort of do this for a living. joblue Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
