PoisonKitchen
Do any body know what driver version it is that fixes it so that you can see the high quality smoke and explosions? Right now I get the blocky smoke and I have to use the low quality smoke. Thanks in advance. ------------------ Scott
pcelt
Voodoo 3 driver 1.04.00 is what you require-available at 3dfx site. N.B. You do need DX7 to use these drivers Good luck
Richard III
Is there an equivalent driver for the Banshee? I have the latest Guillemot branded driver -- from last year -- and DX7. I get transparent buildings but the blocky smoke.
Schrullenhaft
The latest "reference" driver from 3dfx for the Voodoo Banshee is dated Feb. 9, 2000. It's version 1.04.00. To be honest I don't know if will address the issue of using transparencies for smoke/explosion graphics. To my knowledge it doesn't. Unfortunately I don't expect 3dfx to be updating this driver any time soon. 3dfx Banshee reference driver: http://www.3dfxgamers.com/drivers/voodoo_banshee/voodoo_banshee_win9x_new.stm
Richard III
Thanks, Schrullenhaft. Unfortunately those drivers don't cure the blocky smoke problem.... Looks like new PC time is getting closer...
