JLS Posted January 11, 2004 Share Posted January 11, 2004 Got a annoying prob running CMBB from disk and would appreciate if anyone could solve it for me , after the install/play menu pops up on screen i get the following dialog box . Cannot find the file 'C:\PROGRA~1\COMBAT~1\XXXXX'( or one of its components) make sure the path and filename are correct and all required libraries are available. Followed by another dialog box with . Could not execute the external program C:\PROGRA~1\COMBAT~1\XXXXX . By cancelling all the boxes and then starting CMBB from the shortcut or running from start/programs the game runs quite happily so as i say this is not a major prob just bloody annoying to go through everytime i want to run the game , i am assuming this is a CDV related problem another whine i have is with there website i gave up trying to patch the game through CDV's site and used The Gamersnet instead as no matter what i tried i was unable to get any form of download from CDV perhaps it is just error on my part but check it out guy's SYSTEM SPECS Windows 98 Duron 800 384mb ram 80GIG Seagate HD 8GIG Seagate HD 64mb geforce mx2 Liteon 40x12x48 CDRW 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Panzertruppe Posted January 11, 2004 Share Posted January 11, 2004 This happens because CDV uses a different installer then Battlefront. Whenever you put your CMBB in the drive the install/play window will come up....just cancel out and then start the game from the desktop icon.
