Dark_au
Gday, In the thor mortar you have 2 types of ammo (he/h and HE/l) It appears that you run out of ammo when one of these reaches 0. this is odd. During the demo i thought you had 10 shots then it ran out of both. But I managed to get down to 3 0 before running out in the full version... Bug or Feature??? ClaytoniousRex
This is the usual confusion caused by the mortar's automatic selection of ammo. Based on the range to the target point, it automatically selectes either high velocity or low velocity ammo type. If you're trying to target a point that falls into the range bracket for one of the ammo types you're out of, then you can't fire. This opaque behavior needs to be made more obvious to the player, and it also should be willing to use high velocity rounds when targetting closer range shots (if out of low velocity rounds). Dark_au
So why does it stop firing completely when one ammo type reaches 0?.
Grappler
If you are out of range for the low velocity rounds, and out of ammo on the high velocity rounds it will not waste the low velocity rounds on targets it cannot reach. We will add messages to the game so the user understands what is going on.
yurch
It also appears to use low velocity rounds when the range is far enough away that high velocity rounds cannot hit. Naturally, it misses.
Dark_au
what about in the ctrl-m view changing the colour of the cross-hairs depending on whether it require He-H or He-L to hit that point. ( could maybe do it to the standard aiming point reticle too?.
