Bitmaps and Sprites Progress Report

OK folks, here is an overall view of how the SC 2 Sprites Project is progressing( ):

Pre- WW2:

No progress made, none planned anytime soon. Fantomas got some good sprites already anyways.

WW2:

Vehicles:

German, Russian, and American are complete. An expansion pack for German and American sprites is due out soon.

British are 50% complete.

Japanese, Italians, etc are about 20% complete.

Air:

American, German, and British are done, although some extras will be coming out soon.

A future pack is planned that focuses on experimental weapons, secret weapons, and late-war or just-post-war weapons/jets of WW2.

Russians, Italians, Japanese, etc are still in early stages (20% done).

Figures:

Only partially complete, 20%.

Post WW2:

Modern American sprites have been posted, although they will soon be updated with twice the amount of vehicle sprites, some extra air sprites, and sprites for submarines, carriers, destroyers, and frigates.

Russian equipment sprites are about 75% complete.

A NATO and Europeon Union equipment pack is in the early stages, 30% complete.

Chinese, North Korean, Japanese etc equipment packs are planned, although most Russian sprites can be used for them since they mostly use Russian equipment.

Excellent job Normal Dude! One suggestion, if I may: When completing a sprite, create an identical layout with the glow (green and blue) sprites for attaching to HQ's, etc. Most people, like myself, don't have the know-how or the software to easily create the outline glow sprites that coincide with your excellent sprite images.

Capt Andrew: Just use ms paint to trace around your chosen icon. Takes about 2 minutes or less.

Updates:

The Russian WW2 sprites will be uploaded today.

The American modern sprites are almost complete and will be uploaded today. Additions to the previous version are:

Added aircraft sprites

doubled the amount of existing vehicle sprites

Added ICBM sprites

Added 4 Crusader sprites

Added a modern navy sprite set: 2 amphib assault ships, 6 carriers, 1 cruiser, 3 frigates, a host of subs, and 5 destroyers.

Added 100+ American soldier figure sprites, in various poses and uniforms. These are finalized and ready to be used, and at the scale of the SC 2 default (41 pixels to head if standing, 33 if kneeling).

Also included some flags, unit patches, etc.

The Russian WW2 vehicles sprites are uploaded, but the American Modern new version will be delayed, and will be out sometime this weekend. Also included will be 2D counters with modern NATO symbols and counters with all the current and recent US military camo patterns instead of green.
