Fartknock3r
Can anyone help me to add my custom bitmaps to the editor? I changed the custom bitmap value to #1, and edited the custom resources in the bitmap subdirectory to fit the campaign, but its not working. Can anyone help?
Honch
Did you make sure that you did an export-import for this modded campaign? If you simply made a copy of a previous campaign and renamed it, it will use the old bitmaps. I've experienced this. Also, you have to make sure that the customized bitmpas are in a folder in the campaigns directory, NOT the root folder. Help?
Honch
What bitmaps did you customize?
Fartknock3r
The resources. So i shouldn't put it in the mod of the campaign, just in the campaign subdirectory?
Fartknock3r
I copied the bitmap folder from regular campaigns, and edited it.
Honch
No, to clarify, you can copy the template bitmaps from the root directory and then they should go in Strategic Command 2\Campaigns\My Modded Campaign\Bitmaps. That should work. Once agin, how did you create this modded campaign? Did you copy another campaign file and simply rename it? That won't work. You had to use the import-export feature.
Fartknock3r
No. I just copied the bitmaps from a regular campaign of SC-2 and pasted it in my campaigns bitmap subdirectory. Then I edited the cities to cover other resources that i didnt need, and saved it instead of the resources there before.
Honch
Yes, but the campaign itself...was it imported or just copied and renamed?
Fartknock3r
no, I never copied the campaign. i just need 2 add 4 cities to the resource pallete and thats it. seems like such a hard thing to do.
Honch
You cannot add any more resource tiles to the bitmap. You can only draw over ones that are there.
