Chris Tutt
I have seen several references to games being run through ICQ on other threads. I've tried to set one up a couple of times, but although I could communicate with my opponent via ICQ, we couldn't ever seem to get the game started. Can someone please help the technically challenged and give me a quick rundown of how one sets up a TCP/IP game this way? Thanks.
Madmatt
I think they mean that they chat via ICQ and use its file transfer feature to swap PBEM files back and forth. For some people with poor connections this is a much more stable way to play than normal TCP/IP. Madmatt
Chris Tutt
Thanks for the help. We had successfully set up a TCP/IP game of Total Annihilation through ICQ and I was hoping we could run CM the same way. Oh well - PBEM it is.
