Cpl Steiner
In CMx1, the actual location of each man in a squad was abstracted. In CMx1, therefore, if a grenade landed in a squad's "footprint", it was not necessary to see men in the squad take evasive action to avoid the grenade blast. However, in CM:SF/CMx2, if a grenade lands at a guy's feet, it really is right there at his feet. In such a situation, the guy should be shown making some effort to evade the grenade. The simplest example would be to dive away from the grenade and go prone until it goes off. Other possibilities are kicking the grenade away, moving so as to put some cover between the guy and the grenade, or picking it up and chucking it back at the enemy. I know CM:SF/CMx2 isn't a FPS but it would still be nice if the TacAI of each man (if such a thing exists) was programmed with a certain level of survival instinct for situations like this.
M1A1TC
I have posted similar topics before, I would as well like to see more soldier animations according to the situation. For example, a soldier might light a sigarrete ( a fag for you Brits) when not doing anything for 5-10 minutes, or when coming around a building's corner, a soldier can peek around it. Maybe even see an animation of soldiers wiping sweat from forehead or drinking from camelbacks
panzermartin
Yes, I would definetely love to see more human animations....though this is going to be very tough for such a small programming team,so we may be asking a lot here.
Thomm
Originally posted by panzermartin: Yes, I would definetely love to see more human animations ...Female merc snipers from North Korea should - as a matter of principle - overcome obstacles by doing a front flip! Next summer, when the public pools open again, I shall be able to provide motion capture data!!! Best regards, Thomm
