DaveN
This may be a stupid question but how can I get an ip address so I can host a game? Dave
SuperTed
Dave, TCP/IP is fairly straightforward, except the set up process. A lot of people get hung up on trying to determine what their IP number is. You need not worry about such things. Just start the scenario as usual, except that you choose "TCP/IP" at the "Choose Number of Players and Connection Type" screen. After choosing the amount of time you will use for each Orders Phase and a password, your IP number will be displayed. Tell your opponent what this number is and he will enter it when prompted after choosing "Join Multiplayer" and "Network Game."
Ron
Just to expand a little, IPs numbered 169.254.*.* and 192.168.*.* are Microsoft/Internal IPs respectively, your IP for the internet will be the one other than those. Ron
