GeForce 256 + Detonator = Freeze

Looks like you're stuck picking which game you want to run the most often. What kind of problem do you see with Steel Beasts running the OEM (manufacturer) drivers ?

Is your board an OEM from Dell ? What version is the OEM driver based on ? Which Detonators have you tried ?

If you're not getting your NVidia Reference drivers from here already... here's a link to Reactorcritical which has a fairly complete listing of Reference drivers.

NVidia Reference drivers (under TNT/TNT2 listing - you may want to avoid anything newer than 6.31 or you may want to experiment):

Steel Beasts : Incorrect/Lack of Z-buffer. Delaney says this is a problem with the older versions of the NVIDIA boards (to be fixed by upgrading to Detonator).

It's an OEM board, driver version 4.12.01.0359. I've tried Detonator 2 & 3, but not the Reactorcritical ones...I'll try them out, see how it goes.

Guest Madmatt

I play Steel Beasts and CM just fine with the official Detonater 3 drivers (build 6.31).

Some of the later beta driver versions proved to be very unstable for me though.
