c3k
Gents, Having looked at the beta videos, a question arose: will the animations be part of the simulation? What I mean by that is, will the actual number of rounds fired in the animations be tracked in the game? Will the number of reload magazines be tracked? When I pull up the info on a squad, will the ammo count match what they've done? Or, is it going to be a bit more abstracted, ala CMBO/BB/AK? And, finally, is each round individually calculated for down-range effects? Thanks! Ken
C'Rogers
To my understanding (hoping my memory isn't wrong) the game tracks each fired round. However I you are only being provided rough numbers on things like ammo (instead of 250 bullets it might say around 250)
Delyn
From the sticky about the videos. The thing to remember with regards to the infantry video was not the animations themselves, which were placeholder at best when the video was taken, and admittedly VERY raw, The thing to remember with regards to the infantry video was not the animations themselves, which were placeholder at best when the video was taken, and admittedly VERY raw, but the fact that CMSF now models each soldier individually and that there is no more abstracted gunfire 'bursts', but rather that every pull of the trigger from your men is both visually and audibly (although there was no sound in that video, stay tuned for that!) registered, modeled and tracked in game.
