njimk
I am new to the game but am impressed with its realism and this forum. I am unable to save a game, the save screen pops up fine but after typing in a name and hitting save the game returns and I can't access it from the scenario list later. Is this a common bug? Is there a known fix? thanks, JM
WWB
Would you happen to be playing CMBO directly from the cd? WWB
njimk
Yes. I did a full instalation but the game only runs with the CD in the drive. JM
njimk
How can I set up CMBO to not run directly from the CD? thanks, JM
Schrullenhaft
CMBO can accidentally be played from the CD directly. In other words when you run CMBO you may be running the files off of the CD instead of on your hard drive. Check the Properties of your shortcut and make sure that the drive letter that they're pointing to is the hard drive and not the CDROM/DVD drive. The CD is required to be in the drive when you startup CMBO for copy protection reasons. Once you've started the game you can remove the CD if you wish (I can't recall when it may be required again though). CMBB can only be played from a hard drive installation since the CD only has a large file archive on it and not all of the files in an extracted state on it like the CMBO CD.
