BK6583 Posted December 1, 2000 Share Posted December 1, 2000 I've always just mucked my way thru Windows so I wanted to make sure I understood the procedure here. Once I've unzipped the patch into the CMBO directory, it appears that I have to go into Windows Explorer and then double click on the .exe icon to bring up CM with the new patch. Is this the case? The reason I ask is if this is the procedure, Windows Explorer remains enabled, which is just enough to slow the game down (I'm playing a large scenario) noticeably. I tried the "escape" function to exit out and then close Explorer, but when I bring the game back up the screen is completely whited out. coralsaw Posted December 1, 2000 Share Posted December 1, 2000 Create a shortcut on the desktop. After having selected the new patch in explorer, right click and "send to desktop as shortcut".
