bartbert Posted November 19, 2006 Share Posted November 19, 2006 As some of you have probably noted, the server was up briefly yesterday but appears to be down again today. Matt is looking into it, but it is possible he will have to wipe the server and reinstall everything. If so, it could be down for several days. We'll keep you posted. Last time this happened was right after an update from Microsoft had been installed which contained a vulnerability. As soon as hackers learn that some vulnerability exists, they write programs that search the internet for servers with the vulnerability and exploit it. Chances are, thousands of servers are hit through this automated process and the Battlefront server just happened to be one of them. As to the server, its up now, sometime in the next 96 hours or so I am going to bring it down again but we will post some advance notice.
