alfredtc
I find the counter fire from bomber was too deadly compare with the card game version. Even attack a LB they always reture with 3:3 and spoil attack or 2:2 destroy. So you must have at least 1 defend card in hand to avoid damage. (I don't think Stuka with single rear gunner had this fire power). It make to use the wingman with only 1 or 2 attack factor to attack the bomber very difficult. Fred19
This is really something that should be slightly balanced.
alfredtc
In intercept mission most my casualty is from bomber's defensive fire not their escort
Stalin's Organ
I found this too, until I was told the tricks for attacking bombers!! 1/ Concentrate on 1 bomber at a time 2/ dont' attack unless you're holding defensive cards - a simple barrel roll evades 3:3 or 2:D
bartbert
It's true that bombers fire back more in the computer game as compared to the card game. The reason is that in the card game, escorting fighters could respond to attacks on behalf of the bombers. That was kind of tricky to do in the computer game without breaking the normal flow of the program. So, to compensate for this we gave the bombers a little more bite. I guess you might justify this by imagining that some of the firepower is coming from the escorting fighters, but is being represented by the bomber's card play. Ron
You won't be saying that at the higher Pilot skill levels where Wingmen(!) will be attacking with 6-7 cards. A Bomber getting shot down in one turn occurs often. Ron
bartbert
That's true, although a heavy bomber flying at Very High altitude can still be a very tough target.
alfredtc
I think it is too tough to intercept 2 Light bomber and pair of escort with only 4 turns to maneurvering, attack, avoid shot back. It really need a good hand of attack & defend cards combination.
Guest Mike
You seem to get a varying number of turns in an escort mission - 4 through 6 - I dont' know what the system is. Of course the converse is that at low experience levels escort missions can get you a lot of experience very quickly!! Sadly I've found that at higher experience levels they can LOOSE you experience when your mid-range escorts get a bad dice roll and face more numbers of beter fighters with better pilots, and all the bombers get shot down toute suite!! bartbert
The number of turns is determined randomly for escort missions. * Light Bombers: 4 to 6 turns * Medium Bombers: 5 to 6 turns * Heavy Bombers: 6 turns
