scud24
Okay, just want to say thanks very much to all the people that have posted solutions on here in the past. Thanks to you it seems that i have succeeded in getting the game to load correctly. Don't ask me how really. I looked at a response from Matt to someone else and went into the nVidia site, downloaded the 30.82 version of the driver update even though 41.09 was the latest version on offer. After I had done this (having already uninstalled Combat mission 2 and Quicktime from the Control panel and reinstalled the Nvidia driver) i reinstalled the game. when it launched it asked me to accept the graphics on the white box and i flicked throught to resolution 800 x 600 on 60Hz on nvidia GeForce 4 etc. and...BINGO! it worked. my husband will be a very happy bunny. thanks for the forum, it has really helped! Sam.
easytarget
good to hear! i know you may be loath to change anything at this point, but you might want to consider deleting the pref file and setting your refresh higher than 60hz - something like 75 or even 85 is definitely preferable
