First, where can I find good reference material for starting armed forces of WW2? I've done so many searches but couldn't really find anything good. Secondly, does anyone know how many units a group represents? I'm looking for how many tanks are in one Tank Group. I've assumed it was 1,000. 1,000 planes for a Fighter Group? 40-60,000 men for a Corps? Naval units, 1 Battleship group = 10 Battleships? Any info would be appreciated thanks. An army in WW2 could be anything from 4-20 divisions - a division might be 4-16,000 men with 50-350 tanks if an armoured division.
