pzgndr Posted May 15, 2005 Share Posted May 15, 2005 These are working now. Paratroops must be in supply with supply >= 8, so as long as this is satisfied they can drop from anywhere. It takes a turn to prepare them for an airdrop, and the following turn(s) you can drop them within an operational range. There's a chance they suffer landing losses, like naval landings. In Third Reich they were a critical piece to assist in tank exploitation, & capturing a key city behind enemy lines. Looking forward to SC-2, when it comes out in a couple of years. pzgndr Posted May 16, 2005 Share Posted May 16, 2005 For now those are the only stipulations. The airdrop is like a regular movement, so you move to a vacant tile and then have combat. The other stuff is not finalized yet. I can't go into details. Suffice it to say that Paratroops are funtional in our playtesting now and we will experiment with them.
