UGR
Hi all, just a quick one. I have a Voodoo 2, and whilst it runs CM very well (I don't seem to have the smoke problem there are 300 posts about anyway) after I quit the game, it leaves a blue or green "hue" on my Windows desktop. Whilst this is certainly not life threatening, it is annoying as I have to reboot before I can resume normal use of the machine. I have searched this forum in vain, thinking it might be a know issue, and have come up with nothing. I am using the 27 Jan 200 drivers for the Voodoo 2, which are the latest, I believe. Direct X version is 7.0 (4.07.00.0716). Any suggestions welcomed.
Schrullenhaft
You may want to check for the latest drivers for your primary display card. I'm guessing that this is some sort of interaction between the Voodoo & the primary display card drivers. Your problem may also be related to bus-mastering PCI devices, but I'm not sure that really applies here. Do any other games you have make use of the Voodoo 2 (it will need to be a 3D game) ? Do they do something similar or do they behave ?
BeWary
I used to have this problem with a Voodoo 1 card. Updated drivers solved the problem. Try using some 3dfx reference drivers if they're available. BeWary ------------------ "Liberty or Death?"
