I enter the address,(I can cancel and all is ok),as soon as I click ok it seems to access the HD briefly and then I have to ctrl/alt/del ,message Combat Mission not responding and I end task. Computer is ok no blue screen etc. Pentium 500,128mb,nvidea tnt2 32 mb,latest drivers,IE 5.5 and updated. icq ,yahoo and zone alarm all disabled. The residential adsl UP 800 DN 3744 Phone on same line. As I say I have no problem hosting. Any advice would be much appreciated

Frenchy
Gramps: Long time no see! Not since our PBEM game a while back. Also known as Gyrene251. I had the same problem only I couldn't host. I could join all the games I wanted but not host. The culprit for me was Black Ice Defender - disabling it did not solve the problem for me. I had to completely remove it from my system. It was detecting the incoming signal as an intruder and blocking it. You may want to completely delete Zone Alarm or go into msconfig and disable all references to it in the config.sys and autexec.bat and start up section. I don't know if you want to go to all the trouble thought to do that. Just a thought.

Frenchy
Gramps: I haven't stopped playing it since I got the game! And I know what you mean about the loss/won ratio...mine hasn't improved either.
