Running CM on a Voodoo 5500 on a Macintosh

Hi,

I want to know how a voodoo 5500 looks and works with a Macintosh. I have a mac G3 with a PCI so this is the card I am looking at. I may wait for the voodoo 4 but I would like to know a few things about the card though before I buy it or make a decision.

How does the card (V5) handle Rave for CM? By that I mean how is its performance in CM?

The reason I ask this, is becouse I know that there may or there have been some problems running rave on a Voodoo card.

I know CM only runs in rave so I need to be sure that this card works properly with CM.

Also, I presume the anti aliasing features that come with the voodoo 5 must make CM look nice. But mainly, I want to know how it runs CM performance wise.

Anyone have any experience with a Mac and a Voodoo 5 card? Please let me know of your experiences.

Thankyou.

Hi. I'm the RAVE guy on the Mac Team at 3dfx. CM is a favorite of mine, and we have very good support for it on the V5. Since it is a fullscreen game, it runs very fast on the V5. From what I hear, we have better support than the Radeon.

The two worst bugs in the driver have been fixed this week. These fixes should make it into the next driver release.
