Kellys Hero's Operation

I just finished the mini-pack about Kelly Hero's and I had a few question's.

1. Why was the german who was captured represented by a Battalion HQ of 8 guys? Why wasn't he left out or represented as a out of ammo sharpshooter?

2. When I reached the Bank, there were no tigers, just a flak vehicle and some guys. Why is that?

As far as the offier is concerned, I just went for the rank, not the number of men. I had to make a few concessions with the game. Did the unit run away and get killed or fight back?

It's a shame you didn't tangle with the Tigers, they are in there in MOST games. They have a percentage chance to arrive during the game. The beauty of this scenario is that the replayablility is high. Try it out again and see what happens. I am glad to see the Tigers didn't show up. The odds were very slim of that happening.

I congratulate you for reaching the bank. Fill us in on the details of the operation. I only made it to the bank once or twice myself. I might even post a site where we can share stories and screen shots if people are interested.

Ok, here's some details on the op. The Battalion HQ (Colonel) ran off as soon as the "Heros" fired at them, although I had to have everything else that had LOS to the colonel do area fire away from the colonel so the hero's wouldn't be slaughtered. I had everyone evacuate safely except that Sharpshooter. Then I moved on to Oddball's attack out of the tunnel (nice job on making the tunnel guys - never thought of that) which was a total smear -- the germans surrendered before I could leave the board! Then I moved on to the operation minus getowski or whatever his name was. But as I was driving through the town really fast, kelly lost two guys and Big Joe's jeep was knocked out, so I had to sneak Big Joe out of the Town. Then we progressed to the next part, were a bunch of airplanes kept on attacking me but didn't do anything. By this time, the "hero's" were down to 10 guys, kelly was at 2, big joe had 1, mulligan was dead along with most of the mortars (I ran into a nastry little ambush with the mortars) and I lost the jeep MG. The mortar carrier and halftrack were OK. At the end of that battle, Oddballs tanks came in and then it asked me whether I wanted to skip night combat and I said no. So, with oddball leading the charge, I crossed the pontoon bridge at night, before the engineers built it! The next day, I drove up my Tanks and HT's right up to the bank and took over! Here are some of my suggestions.

1. Change the Colonel from Btln. HQ to unarmed sniper

2. Make the Hero's be an Airborne Squad because of all the SMG's they carried in the movie

3. Make a separate battle about the ambush the "Hero's" gave those german trucks

4. Write in the briefing that you CAN'T cross the pontoon bridge until the engineers come
