downloaded scenarios don't work on mac

Recommended Posts

Hi, I've tried downloading CM scenarios from various websites and I can't get them to work.

They download as zip files, but Stuffit Expander 6.0.1 doesn't automatically unzip them -- I have to save them, and then double-click on them, at which point the system tells me it doesn't know what application created them, but it gives me the option of using Stuffit to expand them. Stuffit will unzip them, leaving me with a text file with the .cmb suffix. If I drag one of these into the Scenarios folder however, CM won't recognize them. Is there a problem with using zip files on a Mac?

Do you have CM open when you copy these files over to the Scenarios folder ? If so, then close it down and when it loads up it should scan the Scenarios folder for the files.

The zipped scenarios should work fine on a Mac. Unless there is some sort of corruption happening with your download or extraction the scenario should show up. Do you see ANY saved scenarios or even scenarios you created yourself in the listing ? If not, then you are probably running CM off of the CD and not off of the files on the hard drive.
